We asked Goonjan to paint a portrait of Buddha for us. We had seen her work on Krishna at a friend’s place and absolutely loved it. Goonjan did a fabulous job. She managed to bring out the ‘calm’ that Buddha signifies. Her choice of colours is vibrant and lively, her strokes radiate confidence, so one cannot help noticing and admiring her work. We bought a piece of art from Goonjan and which adorns a special place in our living room. We absolutely love it and it doesn’t fail to amaze us when we look at it. The use of charcoal and its blend with colours give the art its unique persona and makes t vibrant and a stand out. Goonjan as an artist doesn’t hesitate to experiment with different medium and subjects and that can be seen in all her paintings. We do hope to build a larger collection of Goonjan’ s painting over the next few years.

First, I really love the composition of the painting, while giving importance to all , the artist Goonjan Jain has subtly used size to show the the omnipresent nature of Lord Krishna. I loved the way the Goonjan has truly expressed the saying that the eyes are the window of your soul. Every person who looks at this painting will truly feel that Lord Krishna’s eyes are filled with love and compassion just for them. We put this triptych abstract painting – Flights of Fancy 2 , in our living room, which definitely gave a new aesthetic to our place. We still get loads of compliments for these paintings. The eye of the Ganapathy is mesmerizing – it is deep and can pull you in. The Buddha really calms you. The sunset has such colourful hues, it transports you to a vacation. She is a great artist and we love her work.
